ABOUT

Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology (SGGSIE&T), is one of the government autonomous engineering college in Maharashtra. It receives 100% grant aid from the government of Maharashtra. It comes under the Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded. This institute offers 10 undergraduate and 10 post-graduate programs. It also offers Ph.D. programs in most of the areas of Engineering under Swami Ramanand Teerth Marathwada University, Nanded and is also selected as research center for faculty under QIP of Ministry of HRD, Government of India, New Delhi.

The college campus is green and beautiful spreaded over the 46 acres. Which covers departmental buildings, cantins, auditorium, open air theater and sports ground. There are 8 buses in college for the localite students which covers major areas of Nanded city.

Institute has two buildings for the boy's hostel and three buildings for the girl's hostel for accommodation. Depending upon the merit list hostel are allocated to the boy's while for girl's every girl can get hostel easily. Including this institute provide family accommodation to full time Ph.D. students, guest room, medical dispensary, and mess (compulsory for the students in hostel).

On sports front the institute provides indoor facilities such as air-conditioned well-equipped Gymnasium, Table tennis hall. Outdoor sports spacious arena includes volley ball court, basketball court, cricket turf wicket ground, 400 m athletic track, tennis clay court with flood lights and badminton court.

Placements & Gate Results: The average placement record of the institute of last five years is above 60%. The gate results of this college are very good which include three AIR 1 students and several students getting rank in top 100 every year. The highest package offered last year is about 7 lakhs. The companies do visit on the large numbers which includes companies like TCS, Cognizant, Wipro, TCS Digital etc.

Clubs: This college has the active clubs which includes robotics club named RNXG (Robotics for Next Generation) from which teams participates in most of the contests like HACKATHON, ROBOCON and many robotics competitions held by reputed institutes like IIT Kanpur, BITS Hyderabad etc., next club is coding club which is named as Matrix it helps in developing coding skills. Team Praveg and Team Phoenix are the clubs related to making of vehicles for the national level competitions like BAJA-SAE and SUPRA-SAE which are off rode driving and on road driving competitions of vehicle. This institute also has clubs of music and drama named Avaroh and Gandharva respectively in which students show their talent in the college events or on their official accounts of social platforms. Including this their has been two new clubs are introduced named Codechef Campus for competitive coding practices and Photography club. For the students preparing UPSC-MPSC they have special club called UPSC-Chapter.

Events: College also holds the expert talks whenever they get the chance. There are three major events in this college which takes place every year namely Pragyaa, Zenith and Utasav. Pragyaa is the national level socio technical event which lasts for 3 days which includes events like robotics competition, coding competitions, fashion show and many other technical events related to the departments. Zenith is the sports event in which teams from all over the Maharashtra come and participates in the games like cricket, football, basketball etc. Utsav is the cultural events in which dance and singing programs are arranged. Every year their is the alumini meet in which alumini come to refresh their memories and share the experience with the students.

In this college one can get admission through the MHTCET exam, through JEE scores and through gate exam for the MTech students. The college area is well protected by the security guards and surveillance cameras. Students get the all support from the teachers; they get an innovative environment. WIFI is also available all over the college. 

There is central computing facility (CCF) for the students to discover educational things on the internet. The college provide high speed internets for the PC's in college and all the labs are up-to-date.
